LAUNDRY TALK II

I seem to have generated a lot of buzz with the original LAUNDRY TALK post. Seems like there are a few options in ordering these units. Someone on the blog suggested US APPLIANCE but when I checked their prices it was still higher than EXPERT APPLIANCE here in Brooklyn. We may not be looking at the same model # since there is a "regular" and a "plus" version. There are also 2 options with the stacking kit - one with a pull-out shelf and one without. I think these units would be simple to install but I would still prefer to have an "expert" install it to avoid the chances of leaks. It still might be a good idea to order together but I would suggest that this be coordinated via e-mails and NOT on the comments page (the comments are public and viewable by anyone so please don't post any personal information there...) You can E-MAIL me and I can forward your info to other interested parties. I just hope this won't get too chaotic...

Thanks for informing me about the lack of gas hook-up in the wash room because I was looking at gas dryers.

Let me introduce myself... I'm the one and only tenant ALREADY living in 34 Crooke, and what a disaster it is.

Empty promise after empty promise... almost a month later I still have no heat or hot water and recently after about 5 days of use, all of the electricity went out in my bedroom. So those nice little space heaters they provided me with, don't work :(

On top of which the craftsmanship in the overall apartment is very shitty. It looks as if they used all the reject parts from the factory (in my unit anyway). My contractor friend was shocked at the lack of effort put into the work in this apartment. Tomorrow I meet with the electrician and a contractor to go over the things I demand they fix before I close (yea that's right, I haven't closed yet, just live here).

On a good note, I anticipate some nice people moving in... happy to have discovered your blog...

Feel free to stop by sometime and say hi!

What is the hold up with getting gas in the building? Does anyone know? I don't understand what is going on with this building.
