I'm surprised at the traffic this little blog has been experiencing. Since we started tracking the traffic data we've had visitors from 9 countries besides the U.S. and several hundred visits a week! I thought maybe a couple people might look at this at most so this is very surprising to me. The map we've created for this site has over 4,000 views to date - if you haven't seen it yet CHECK IT OUT.
I hope that as we all move in, that this blog can be a forum for 34 Crooke residents. If anyone is interested in coauthoring the blog send me an E-MAIL.

Do you think they are going to finish the deck?
If it's in the offering plan they have to do it...
which deck? at the roof?
yes at the roof... I hope they do not leave it like that. That would mean that we the owners will have to pay to get that finished.( i.e. putting in actual deck flooring, etc.) If they are saying that there is a roof top deck.. That is not a roof top deck. That is just a roof.
It's not such a nicely done roof either. What about all the skylights?
Yeah I know those pesky skylights..... The skylights cant be removed obviously. But.. I think that they can make it look like like a nice deck area instead of just a roof with skylights. They would need to come up with a creative way to put flooring down even with the skylights. Unfortunately for the PH residents, They need to be ok with the fact that people will be able to see into their apts when residents are having functions on the roof. Why did they put so many skylights knowing they were marketing a "roof deck with panoramic view..."?
I would be ok even if they'll finish part of it.
as a neighboor in 34 Crooke, I don't want to fight with my neighboors at the PH.

Very true.. I think there is only two areas where they can do that, That is by the back I believe or is it the front..??? hmmmm. Those areas do not have sky lights.. However, they are very small areas.. But I agree.. I dont want to piss of my PH neighbors.. Lets stay happy neighbors. :)
It's probably illegal to build a deck on the roof because the safety walls around the edges of the building are only around waist high. A deck will probably make the roof unsafe and would not meet DOB safety codes.
So the developer can say anything they want to try and sell the apartments but then doesn't have to follow through and build it? If they say there will be a deck with "360 views" then shouldn't they have to do it? Wasn't there supposed to even be a shower on the roof? I don't know why but that's what I read. So what else do they promise that they don't actually do?
I came today to do my walkthrough inspection, and i saw the contractors working there, when i asked the foreman he told me that they goingto install the deck either this week or next week, pending on the weather.
In addition, he told me that the gym equipment have arrived, and that they will assemble it to next week. lastly, he said that the furniture for the recreation space would be in the site soon too. Honestly, I felt much better, and my engineer was impresed by the overall job. Indeed, it's not a high end building, but for this price, is more than reasnable. I am looking forward to meet all of you soon
so you did a walk-thru? is the gas installed yet? I'm waiting to do my final inspection after the building has gas, so I can check appliances, heat and hot water.
The broker said that the gas should be connected by Friday or next Monday. Beside of that all well and good.
Personally I find it hard to believe that all of the sudden there is gym equipment, furniture and they are building the deck, but I haven’t been there in a while so can’t tell for myself. Miracle on Crooke Avenue? Any pictures to prove it? Anybody?
nO PICS TO PROVE IT.. LOL.. Sooo funny. Very true. Last time I was there it was like a ghost town. The gym floors were done but there was no equipment, and no furniture, and the roof seemed so far in the future. I was there about 2 or 3 weeks ago. But no negative energy here!!! I want to move in already.. LET THERE BE GAS!!!! LOL..
